Proof that Lila is a supervillain & that we all have to become superheros to save Pushing Daisies!!

TV is not hugely important to me, but Pushing Daisies is different. It is just the right mix of quirk, romance and magic. It is smarter and funnier and weirder and more enriching than most of the shows that have been aired on ABC (or anywhere) since the unslaught of reality shows.
If you haven’t watched the show (Wedns. 8pm on ABC) please do. If you’re a fan and you’re going to miss it as much as I will, sign this PETITION or complain to ABC here: SAVE DAISIES! -Sabrina

I had such a French film moment yesterday. I was Audrey Tatou in my oversized coat and quirky hat. I’d been ordering the same cup of hot cocoa everyday for 3 weeks, at the same neighborhood cafe, from the same young guy, with the same odd cast of supporting players, and we’d never had a conversation — well, we had spoken, but only small debates about whether I should add mini marshmallows or whipped cream to my cup.
Yesterday, we spoke. Wrapped in my foreign film romantic daze I introduced myself, with the most impeccably beautiful lyrical French phrasing. He paused, looked deep into my eyes and responded: “No Hablo Espanol.”
…Well, I almost had a French Film moment yesterday.
Foreign films of a similar ilk that you should try:
French title: Vénus beauté / English Title: Venus Beauty Institute
French title: Fauteuils d’orchestre / English Title: Avenue Montaigne
British, but awesome: The Girl in the Cafe

I’m not really sure what I ordered here, but apparently, I sexually harassed something at Dunkin’ Donuts ’cause clearly “even white guys gotta shout: bagel’s got back”.

Nothin’ like a healthy breakfast to start your crazy day.

I was planning on doing an intellectual post today, about the life and times and lack of mental stability of Edgar Allan Poe. However, that was overridden when, on my walk to work, I was passed by a pink and purple plaid Hummer limo.
Take a moment to ponder that: a PINK and PURPLE PLAID HUMMER LIMOUSINE at 9:35 a.m.
Did you EVER expect to hear all of those words describing the same object? Anyway, Poe isn’t going anywhere, so intellect will be postponed and you should check back this evening to see my low-in-quality but high-in-zaniness camera phone pic of this morning’s monstrosity.

It exists!!!
